I know for me, these questions always come at the most unexpected of times. As we are driving in the car, as I tuck them snug in their beds at night, or in the perfectly times moment in my day where something I am doing reminds me of my loved ones and I can’t help but share about how I used to spend my summers swimming at the outdoor pool visiting my grandma, or when I would wake up early for the Calgary Stampede to be in awe as I looked up at the stampede princesses riding by on their horses, because one day I wanted to be her.
Growing up, I was always fascinated by my grandparents’ lives, how they grew up, how they spent their time. For hours, I would sit, absorbing every detail of every story, going to bed each night dreaming about what my life would be like when I grew up.
These are the moments that need to live on forever, not just in our memories but in a tangible way, where we can pass them along from generation to generation.
There have been so many times in my own life that I wished I could pull out the book of the life of my family members and read it aloud to my kids, complete with pictures and little stories. For these are the people who shape who we are today.
How it works
The Connection: We start with a conversation to ensure this is the right fit for your loved one. My goal is to forever share the stories of your loved one, whether they have recently passed or they are ready to share their own story, to share their legacy now. You can nominate a loved one, a friend or even yourself.
The Journey: I love including the favourite memories of different people in your loved one’s life and creating one beautiful story, with pictures, to honour their life for generations to come. I meet either in person or virtually with the people who would love to come and share their favourite memory.
The Legacy: I weave those memories into a beautiful book for your family to share for generations to come.
