A Business Rooted in Expertise and Connection

Tricia McIntosh is the founder of McIntosh Mortgage Group, a successful team serving clients in Victoria, Langford, and across Canada. She helps individuals and families with mortgage renewals, refinancing, and home purchases, with specialized experience supporting RCMP relocations through understanding, knowledge, and care.

What makes Tricia’s approach stand out is her commitment to helping people feel confident throughout the home-buying process — from understanding each step to knowing the value of working with a mortgage broker.

When Tricia reached out for a website refresh, her goal was to refine and expand what was already working well. She wanted her online presence to reflect the professionalism and credibility she’s known for, while continuing to be a valuable educational hub for her clients.

Refining a Strong, Professional Foundation

The focus of this project was to build upon the strong foundation already in place and create a refreshed website that felt polished, professional, and informative.

Tricia wanted her updated site to:

  • Reflect a more corporate, professional aesthetic

  • Feature updated font to create a refined, and easy-to-read layout

  • Offer easy access to two key resource pages — one for information about mortgages and one with general information about the home-buying process

  • Strengthen SEO across every page

  • Include new templates for tools like a mortgage calculator and a fundraiser page

This refresh was about refinement, alignment and bringing the Tricia McIntosh Mortgages brand and online experience up to the level of professionalism Tricia has built her reputation on.

Translating Expertise into a Clear and Confident Online Presence

Having worked with Tricia before, I knew the level of professionalism, care, and dedication she brings to both her team and her clients. That insight helped shape every decision in this project.

We began with the homepage, the place where first impressions are made. For Tricia, this page needed to do more than look professional. It needed to feel trustworthy, approachable, and full of clarity.

Her previous homepage already held so much great information, but the layout made it hard for visitors to know where to start. We wanted people to land on her site and immediately feel at ease, to know exactly where to go next whether they were renewing a mortgage or buying their first home.

To create that flow, I restructured the navigation and centered it visually, giving the entire site a stronger sense of balance. Each section was rearranged to guide visitors through her story and services naturally, no guesswork, no overwhelm, just a clear path forward.

We introduced Raleway for headings and Montserrat for body text to give the design a crisp, modern finish that matched Tricia’s level of expertise. Then, we added custom icons throughout the homepage to draw attention to key resources and simplify the browsing experience.

Every one of these updates was made with Tricia’s audience in mind: families, first-time homebuyers, and RCMP members navigating relocations, so that anyone arriving on her site would immediately feel supported, informed, and confident taking the next step.

BEFORE

Resource Pages

After refining the homepage, we focused on the resources. This is where Tricia’s expertise really serves her clients, so the goal was to make everything easy to find and simple to explore.

We streamlined the two resources pages so visitors can scan, click, and get exactly what they need without hunting around. The banner formatting was updated across the site to keep a consistent, modern look and feel from page to page. Each resource card was redesigned for balance and readability, with clear titles, short summaries, and a direct call to action.

The result is a unified resource experience that feels organized and useful. Clients can move through topics like mortgage options, down payment guidance, credit health, and moving checklists with confidence.

A Refined, Resource-Driven Website That Builds Trust

Tricia’s refreshed website now feels like a reflection of the business she’s built — professional, trustworthy, and full of value. Every element, from the navigation to the typography, works together to create a polished experience that supports her clients and her team.

The redesign elevated her online presence and made it easier for clients to find the information they need, whether they’re learning about mortgage options, exploring the RCMP relocation process, or preparing for a home purchase. The new structure also supports ongoing SEO growth, helping more people discover McIntosh Mortgages in Victoria, Langford, and across Canada.

Beyond the visuals, this project reinforced something I love most about this work, helping women like Tricia bring their expertise online in a way that feels aligned, strategic, and authentic.

Her testimonial says it best:

“Before working with Simply by Katie, when it came to my website I felt like I didn’t have anywhere to turn for guidance or recommendations. From the start, Katie made me feel like we were in great hands.

The refresh has already given me more confidence in my online presence, and I’ve received several compliments on how polished and professional the site now looks. I also expect to see a boost in traffic and leads as the SEO work starts to take effect.

The package had everything I needed, it felt very complete. The process was smooth and clear from start to finish. Katie is organized, easy to work with, and truly cares about delivering a result that reflects your business.”

Tricia’s website is a perfect example of how thoughtful updates can transform a digital space into something timeless and strategic. When your website is built with clarity and intention, it works for you — building trust, guiding clients, and giving you space to focus on what you do best.

RCMP Relocation Directory

One of the most impactful parts of this project was the RCMP Relocation Directory, a resource that helps RCMP members and their families navigate mortgage transfers when moving across provinces. Tricia already had incredible content in place, but it was split across two separate pages, which made it harder for visitors to see the full picture at once.

We combined both pages into a single, organized directory so everything could be accessed in one place. The new structure feels more intuitive, giving users a clear entry point to find their division, explore relocation details, and connect with trusted partners like realtors, lawyers, and inspectors.

I also added a custom icon to give this section its own visual identity within the site, making it easier to recognize and more cohesive with the rest of her brand.

This update simplified navigation and created a stronger connection between Tricia’s expertise and the people she serves. It’s clear, user-friendly, and built with her audience in mind, a perfect example of how thoughtful structure and design can turn information into connection.

SEO Optimization + Templates

Once the visual structure was in place, the next step was making sure the website worked just as beautifully behind the scenes as it looked on the surface.

We applied SEO optimization throughout the site, updating every image name, alt text, meta description, and SEO page title to reflect how Tricia’s clients search for mortgage support online. These small but intentional details help the site show up in front of the right audience — families, first-time homebuyers, and those navigating RCMP relocations — right when they need her most.

We also optimized image sizes to improve load speed and the overall user experience. Every design choice was made to balance aesthetics with performance, keeping the website fast, accessible, and easy to maintain.

To support Tricia’s continued growth, I created custom templates for her mortgage calculator and fundraiser pages, along with personalized tutorials so she can confidently make updates on her own. This ensures her website can continue to evolve with her business while maintaining consistency and quality.

The result is a website that not only looks good but works hard — a digital home that’s strategic, functional, and built to grow.
