Women Who Inspire Me: 4 Female Founders Proving It’s Never Too Late for a Career Pivot

Women Who Inspire Me: 4 female founders proving it’s never too late for a career pivot – featuring inspiring stories of female entrepreneurs changing careers at 30, 40, 50 and leaving corpormply by Kaate by Sitie

Something that I believe in so fully is the power of sharing our real, authentic stories of what goes on behind the screens. In a world where social media highlight is often how we measure our success, being able to read the journeys of women going after their dreams and creating the lives and businesses of their dreams shows as just what is possible.

I think something we can all agree on is that when we are younger, we tend to follow the advice and expectations of the people around us. Sometimes that leads us down a path of misalignment. Where on paper, everything looks picture perfect, but in reality, we know that something is off.

I’ve had the absolute privilege and honour of sitting across from amazing women entrepreneurs. Today I want to share the stories of women who have made major life pivots, experience health crises, climbed the corporate ladder and who have taken baby steps to pursue a life of more alignment, joy and fulfillment.

But when an unexpected health crisis left her in the hospital facing a life-altering diagnosis, her entire perspective on work, success, and time transformed.

In this Women Who Inspire Me conversation, I welcome social media strategist and proud hockey mom Nicky Peddle, who shares her journey of building a flexible, aligned business that honours her health, her kids, and her creative passions. Hear more about why giving yourself permission to pivot is never a failure.

From a career of 24 years as an executive in the corporate world to shifting into entrepreneurship. Sarah and I came together, and she shared her journey of how she redefined success on her own terms and how she supports women stepping into leadership to redefine success for themselves.

What I loved about hearing Sarah’s story is the rare glimpse into what it’s like being a woman in a high-level leadership role, the expectations that were put on her as a highly achieving woman, and how she decided it was time to leave her corporate position to start her entrepreneurial journey.
